Virtualizor allows you to restore VPS backups directly from the panel without manual file handling. The restore process is straightforward, but choosing the correct backup and restore mode matters to avoid data loss.
Step 1: Log in to the Virtualizor Panel
First, log in to the Virtualizor control panel using your administrator or end-user account to access VPS management options.

Step 2: Navigate to the Backup Section
After logging in, locate your VPS and open the backup management section where all available backups are listed.
Virtual Servers → List Virtual Servers → Manage → Backups
Web Panel Path (End-User):
My Servers → Backups
Step 3: Select the Backup to Restore
Choose the backup file you want to restore, making sure it matches the correct VPS and restore point.
Virtual Servers → List Virtual Servers → Manage → Backups → Select Backup → Restore
End-User Panel (Web Interface):
My Servers → Backups → Choose Backup → Restore
Step 4: Start the Restore Process
Initiate the restore process, which will overwrite the current VPS data with the selected backup.
Virtual Servers → List Virtual Servers → Manage → Backups → Select Backup → Click "Restore"
End-User Panel (Web Interface):
My Servers → Backups → Choose Backup → Click "Restore"
Step 5: Monitor the Restore Progress
The restore process runs in the background and may take several minutes depending on backup size and disk speed.

Step 6: Start the VPS After Restore
Once the restore process finishes successfully, start the VPS to verify that it boots correctly.
Virtual Servers → Start
Step 7: Verify the Restored VPS
Log in to the restored VPS via SSH or console to confirm that files, applications, and services are working as expected.
Check that files, applications, and services are restored correctly:
ssh root@YOUR-VPS-IP
ls -la /home
Verify via Virtualizor Panel:
Virtual Servers → List Virtual Servers → Manage → Console
